The Service Centre for Computer Systems and Communication (SCC) is one of the central facilities of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
The work of the SCC is based on the relevant laws and regulations issued by university, state and federal authorities.
» Organisation and memberships
Its main tasks are to:
- Develop and maintain the data network
- Provide and manage central services (e-mail, Internet)
- Provide and manage the central servers (back-up, login, data)
- Supervise the IT administrative activities
- Maintain and manage the central PC pools
- Improve and expand the range of services offered by the university in cooperation with other universities in Thuringia
Main tasks of the SCC
- Construction and maintenance of the data network
- Provision and administration of central services (mail, web)
- Provision and administration of central servers (backup, log-in, data)
- Support of the administrative IT
- Provision and support of central PC pools
- Development of the university's range of services in cooperation with the state's higher education institutions
