The cooperation has been in place since 2014, and the »Hörspielmanuskriptwettbewerb« is held every two years.

Media art alumnus Duc Ngo Ngoc honoured with Golden Lola for best script

For his script »Ha-Neu / Berlin«, which he developed together with Duc-Thi Bui, Media Art and Design graduate Duc Ngo Ngoc received the Golden Lola for the best unfilmed screenplay at the Berlinale. The prestigious award is endowed with 10,000 euros. We congratulate our alumnus and are delighted with this great success!

For inclusive design and dignified ageing: care shower chair receives recognition at the Hessian State Prize for Universal Design

Lola Behrens' bachelor's thesis has been recognised in the young talent category of the Hessian State Prize for Universal Design. The award-winning »LAVA« care shower chair was specially designed by the product designer to meet the needs of people with age-related physical limitations. With her work, Lola Behrens shows how clever design can improve the living conditions of many people and counter demographic change with good solutions.

Getting on and off the train more easily by bike: Product designer receives recognition at the Mia Seeger Prize for innovative bicycle compartment

Felix Stockhausen has been honoured with a recognition at the Mia Seeger Prize 2024 for his bachelor's thesis in product design at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Under the title »Velocity«, he designed a bicycle compartment including a guidance system to make taking bicycles on commuter trains easier and more attractive.

Lola Behrens receives University Prize for students - Pio Rahner honoured with Prize for early-career artists

Product design alumna Lola Behrens has been honoured with a University Prize for students for her final thesis ‘Inclusive product design in the context of demographic change’. Pio Rahner, Artistic Associate at the Professorship of Photography, was awarded one of the University Prizes for early-career scientists and artists.

Prof. Barbara Nemitz erhält Förderung zur digitalen Verzeichnung ihres Œuvres

Die emeritierte Professorin der Freien Kunst, Barbara Nemitz, wird von der Stiftung Kunstfonds bei der Sicherung ihres künstlerischen Werkes unterstützt. Insgesamt 25.000 Euro aus dem »KUNSTFONDS_Werkverzeichnung« stehen zur Verfügung, um ein digitales Werkverzeichnis zu erstellen.

Zusammenarbeit mit der Literarischen Gesellschaft Thüringen e. V.

Im Wintersemester 2011/12 entstand im Rahmen der Kooperation der Literarischen Gesellschaft Thüringen mit dem Lehrgebiet Kunst und ihre Didaktik und der Initiatorin Dr. Annette Seemann die erste Weimarer Kinderbibel. Bis ins Jahr 2017 konnten ingesamt 6 Bände der Weimarer Kinderbibel herausgegeben werden. Am Ende stand ein Forscher- und Entdeckerraum für Kinder und Jugendliche in der Herderkirche.
