Bauhaus-Universität Weimar: Departments

There are five central departments at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. They provide services to prospective students, enrolled students, instructors, staff and university partners for a large range of student and university-related matters.

Office of Student and Academic Affairs

The Office of Student and Academic Affairs is responsible for advising and assisting current and prospective students at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The Campus.Office can answer your questions regarding the application and admission process, enrolment requirements and general academic organization.

International Office

The International Office is responsible for international cooperation, student and personnel mobility, international students, scientists and artists, strategic internationalisation and the Bauhaus Summer School.

Research Department

The Research Department provides support when applying for funding (application-based and contract research) and consultation in research-related matters, such as negotiating research contracts, registering patents/licences and organising and/or participating in trade fairs.

Personnel Department

The Personnel Department is responsible for handling personnel matters for public servants and pay-scale employees, travel expense accounting, personnel development, and committee elections.

Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for the financial accounting of in-house and external budget funding, financial oversight and accounting in the procurement of equipment and services and preparation of the annual financial statements.
