There are five central departments at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. They provide services to prospective students, enrolled students, instructors, staff and university partners for a large range of student and university-related matters.

On the following pages you will find more information about the specific services provided by each of the department and corresponding contact data. 

  • The Office of Student and Academic Affairs is responsible for advising and assisting current and prospective students at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The Campus.Office can answer your questions regarding the application and admission process, enrolment requirements and general academic organization.

  • The International Office is responsible for international cooperation, student and personnel mobility, international students, scientists and artists, strategic internationalisation and the Bauhaus Summer School.

  • The Research Department provides support when applying for funding (application-based and contract research) and consultation in research-related matters, such as negotiating research contracts, registering patents/licences and organising and/or participating in trade fairs.

  • The Personnel Department is responsible for handling personnel matters for public servants and pay-scale employees, travel expense accounting, personnel development, and committee elections.

  • The Finance Department is responsible for the financial accounting of in-house and external budget funding, financial oversight and accounting in the procurement of equipment and services and preparation of the annual financial statements.
