The Central University Facilities provide a wide range of services for students, professors, staff and guests aimed to enhance academics, provide the best possible working conditions and promote a smooth transfer of knowledge.

  • As a welcoming centre and meeting place, the Alumni Office works to strengthen the cross-generational Bauhaus network around the world and serves as your link to the university.

  • The Modernists Archive holds a large collection of valuable books. It is responsible for ensuring that these documents remain accessible to university historians and researchers of scientific history.

  • The Bauhaus Research School is a central research institution for doctoral candidates and postdocs. It is an interdisciplinary umbrella organisation for all structured doctoral programmes and research training groups.

  • The Careers Service is part of the General Academic Advising department at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Throughout one’s studies and after graduation, it provides support in all matters of professional orientation and entry in the workforce.

  • The Language Centre is one of the central facilities of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. We offer language courses to students and employees of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the College of Music ‘Franz Liszt’, as well as to students from other universities and guests.
