The Central University Facilities provide a wide range of services for students, professors, staff and guests aimed to enhance academics, provide the best possible working conditions and promote a smooth transfer of knowledge.

Alumni Office
As a welcoming centre and meeting place, the Alumni Office works to strengthen the cross-generational Bauhaus network around the world and serves as your link to the university.

Modernists Archive (University Archive)
The Modernists Archive holds a large collection of valuable books. It is responsible for ensuring that these documents remain accessible to university historians and researchers of scientific history.

Bauhaus Research School
The Bauhaus Research School is a central research institution for doctoral candidates and postdocs. It is an interdisciplinary umbrella organisation for all structured doctoral programmes and research training groups.

Careers Service
The Careers Service is part of the General Academic Advising department at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Throughout one’s studies and after graduation, it provides support in all matters of professional orientation and entry in the workforce.

The Equal Opportunity Office supports the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar with its legal obligation to ensure equal career opportunities to both women and men and remove existing disadvantages.

Start-Up Hub »neudeli«
The start-up hub »neudeli« accompanies creative designers and innovators on their way to self-employment, offers support in business and financial planning, provides workspace free of charge and organises workshops and seminars.

Professional.Bauhaus Office
The Professional.Bauhaus office sees itself as a network node linking the areas of undergraduate and advanced studies and is responsible for the efficient management of academic training.

Service Centre for Computer Systems and Computer Communication (SCC)
The Service Centre for Computer Systems and Computer Communication (SCC) is responsible for providing IT assistance as well as installing and supervising the central computer-based services, servers and PC pools.

Service Centre for Facility Management
The Service Centre for Facility Management is responsible for maintaining the university buildings, managing the facilities and supervising campus construction projects and building technology.

The Service Centre for Security Management is responsible for security matters at the university, such as health, work, fire, facility and environmental protection.

Language Center (SZ)
The Language Centre is one of the central facilities of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. We offer language courses to students and employees of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the College of Music ‘Franz Liszt’, as well as to students from other universities and guests.

University Library
The University Library ensures the university community has access to a wealth of scientific information. It offers attractive working conditions at its three branch libraries. Numerous documents are available in digital form for online access.

University Communications
The University Communications coordinates all the university’s marketing activities and informs media representatives of current events, achievements and developments at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

University Sports Center
The University Sports Center offers a large range of supervised sports and movement courses. The programme also includes free sports and playing times, intramural competitions and participation in national competitions.

University Press (until 2014)
The University Press was owned and operated by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. It published scientific and artistic publications from all four faculties at the university.

Institutional Development (UE)
The Institutional Development provides the executive committees of the university with planning and quality-related information, e.g. regarding resource planning and the enhancement of its degree programmes.
