Computer Science for Digital Media (Master)
1) Why are you researching or studying at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar?
The moment when I discovered that there is a Computer Science program at Bauhaus, I was really impressed and also very happy, because of the chance for me, as a person with a technical background, not related much to Architecture or Art in my professional field, to study at the University, which is such an influential institution globally in a vast amount of areas. I had a feeling that the community, conversation and collaboration are the very base for Bauhaus, and the moment when I got immersed into the environment, the reality beat the expectations. The combination of all the study programs here is really accumulates great people in one place – smart, artistic, talented; brings new perspectives, fosters nonconformity and encourages to experience new things. It is such a unique opportunity to be a part of this community and advance academic development at the same time, which I am extremely happy for.
3) If applicable: What makes your voluntary work in Weimar stand out?
Almost for a year I’m doing regular shifts at café140 – the initiative which I’m admiring from the beginning, and I find it important for the students and social interaction among us. During the past year, I started to be a part of Tonraum – I support with the organisation of events and parties and DJ there.
