Kunsthaus Dresden – NORDOST SÜDWEST – DIS/ORIENTING
Die internationalen Studierenden des MFA-Programms „Kunst im öffentlichen Raum und neue künstlerische Strategien“ verwandeln im Rahmen von Nordost Südwest die robotron-Kantine und den öffentlichen Raum der Stadt in eine Bühne, auf der neue Fragestellungen künstlerischen Arbeitens erprobt werden. Unter dem Titel DIS/ORIENTING entstehen künstlerische Interventionen, partizipative Installationen und Performances, die sich mit Themen von Migration, Grenzen, Zugehörigkeit und (post)kolonialen Spuren in einer komplexen Gegenwart beschäftigen. As part of Nordost Südwest, the international students of the MFA programme "Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" will transform the robotron canteen and the city's public space into a stage on which new questions of artistic work will be tested. Under the title DIS/ORIENTING, artistic interventions, participatory installations and performances will be created that deal with themes of migration, borders, belonging and (post)colonial traces in a complex present.
