Beyond the Paper?
Are you working on a research topic and wondering how concrete pathways for impact and application can emerge from it? In the half-day format “Beyond the Paper?”, we will explore together how scientific results can be translated into real-world application scenarios — whether through collaborations with practice partners, follow-up projects, or as a starting point for new career paths.
Date: May 27, 2026, from 1:30 PM to approximately 7:00 PM
Location: Bauhausstraße 11, Seminar Rooms A and H
What to Expect
The event is primarily aimed at academic and artistic staff, doctoral researchers, and professors who would like to explore how their research can create impact beyond publication. In four practice-oriented workshops, the speakers will introduce methods and approaches for identifying tangible next steps — ranging from AI-supported use cases and strategic positioning using the Technology Readiness Level (TRL), to the analysis of innovation potential and personal career perspectives. A concluding keynote talk will complement the program with practical insights and experiences from the field of knowledge and technology transfer.
Program
Participants may choose individual workshops selectively and are not required to attend the entire program. There will also be opportunities to bring in participants’ own research projects and questions and further develop them within the workshops. Alternatively, exemplary case studies can be used to explore methods and content in a practical way. The program is complemented by a keynote session as part of the TechTransferTalk “Bits & Bridges@Bauhaus”, designed to further deepen the dialogue between research, application, and entrepreneurship. Time for networking and interdisciplinary exchange will be provided between sessions. Registration is requested for participation.
