This year, we will host our first FALLING WALLS Lab in Jena, this is a pitch contest giving researchers and recent graduates the chance to present a breakthrough idea in a three-minute presentation. The focus is not on having a finished project, but on communicating your research with the potential to create impact.

The winner will represent our regional scientific community at the international FALLING WALLS Lab Finale in Berlin, joining an international network of outstanding researchers and taking part in the FALLING WALLS Science Summit, coaching sessions, and exclusive networking events.

The application deadline is 31 July. If you're interested but unsure whether your idea is suitable, we still encourage to apply - the lab thrives on diverse perspectives and disciplines.
