Pati Sayuri is a Brazilian-Okinawan artist, born and based in São Paulo (Brazil), holds a master’s degree in Public Art from Bauhaus Universität-Weimar. She explores her Japanese-Brazilian ancestry through hands-on practices in arts, textiles, and agriculture, researching Shibori and Indigo. Her practice led her to Japan in 2014 and 2017 for research in traditional craft studios. Working across crafts, performance, and public interventions, she has exhibited in museums and independent spaces in Germany and Brazil and joined artist residencies in Germany, Singapore, and Netherlands. Investigating care, intimacy, and failure, she creates participatory exercises that foster affective connections within her community.
