Robert Spang:
Free Workshop | Thursday, 12 February | 15:15–16:45 | B11, Seminar Room A
Exam period approaching? Feeling the pressure mounting? You're not alone—and there's good science on what actually helps.
With exams coming up, some of you might appreciate a practical, evidence-based session exploring what psychology and neuroscience have figured out about managing stress and staying focused under pressure. No fluff, no mysticism—just research-backed strategies that work.
What You'll Learn:
How stress hijacks your focus — and why neuroscientists study mindfulness
Concrete behaviors proven to build stress resilience
A quick protocol for when you're overwhelmed in the moment
Hands-on practice: Experience a beginner-friendly mindfulness exercise
Who should come: Anyone who could use some tools for managing stress—whether it's exam pressure, deadlines, or just life. Students and staff from all faculties welcome. Zero prior experience needed, just an open mind.
About the facilitator: I'm Robert Spang and I teach psychology courses for computer science and HCI students, bridging the gap between mind and machine. I believe the best insights from psychology should be accessible to everyone—especially during crunch time.
No registration required. Just show up.
