Giuliana Marmo:
Weekly educational program for collectively developing a toolkit to engage with the topics of FLUTEN: Permeable Learnscapes.
AWOL (absent without leave) develops an open experimentation lab that invites the public to engage with the topics of Permeable Learnscapes. Each Thursday a different focus point is kick-started with a small collective exercise, engaging with care gestures, practices of commoning, inscribing the landscape and practicing wetlands. The School at the End of the Flood aims to develop a toolkit that allows us to re-inhabit and learn from the post-flood landscape through gestures of human and non-human collaboration.
16.10: River Scores, how can the landscape narrate itself through us? We will create a score for the river through a listening walk, graphical scoring and re-translating collectively again into sound.
23.10: Permeable Imprints, how do we inscribe the environment and how does it inscribe itself upon us? We will experiment with surfaces, textures and gaps between the landscape and our bodies.
30.10: Hoping Frogs (Workshop for Children) Hoping frogs is a workshop open to children in which we will intervene rain boots and raincoats as costumes of wetland animals. Teaching children about these biodiverse ecosystems while making Halloween costumes together.
