Projects + Research

The Interface Design Group is designing digital media, mobile and location based applications and tangible interfaces. Here are highlights of projects conducted at the chair. (This page is under construction.)

A research team at the Professorship is working on how piezoelectric sensors can be integrated into musical instrument strings. This can result in musical instruments that function without resonators and pickups.

Fingies is an experimental prototyping platform for printed electronics that can be combined with different sensors and actuators from traditional and printed electronics.

The Tickle is an acoustic interface for sound, sensing vibrations from it's surface.

WiiSpray is a digital spraycan for graffity artists and other creative persons.
