UCSD + BUW Online Symposium 2020

The basic idea of the symposium is to connect people and topics related to transport and sustainability. That is why we suggest short statements and more space for questions and discussions. Plus: we want to push conversations because online meetings tend to be less personal and offer less possibilities for informal or spontaneous discussions.

BUT: online is offering the unique chance to bring people together from faraway places – without much ado and without spreading tons of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere. (round trip San Diego – Frankfurt: 4t - 5t CO2)

The whole meeting should be as open as possible in order to give room for any kind of thought and talk on potential collaborations.

And don’t forget: Symposium means to drink together! So make sure you got you coffee (9am) or beer (6pm). Or vice versa.
