As a key component of the INUMO project, a series of Multiplicator Workshops were designed to translate research findings into actionable insights for urban planning practice in Ethiopia. These workshops serve as a platform for exchange between researchers, urban planners, municipal authorities, and other local stakeholders.

The first workshop, held in March 2024, focused on evaluating the Structure Plan of the city of Bishoftu using tools and methodologies developed during the project. Performance criteria—such as accessibility, street hierarchy, and the distribution of commercial centers—were applied to both existing and alternative planning scenarios. An interactive demonstrator allowed participants to simulate and assess the impact of different design choices, such as various configurations of the proposed ring road. The workshop not only facilitated informed discussions but also provided valuable feedback for refining the evaluation criteria and underlying tools.
