Urban Mobility in Ethiopia

In our current collaborative research project “Integrated Urban Mobility” we are dealing with the integration of mobility aspects into the planning of Ethiopian cities. The project offers multiple opportunities for a master thesis:

  • an on-site empirical investigation (observations & questionnaires) could reveal the current state of mobility behavior in Ethiopian cities or reveal potentials for future development.
  • using simulation methods (e.g. street network analysis) models for predicting movement behavior could be developed
  • strategies for improving mobility could be designed (parametrically) and tested (using simulation methods)

At the moment we are at the beginning phase of the research project. New topics will arise soon. If you are interested, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Required Skills: Computational Analysis, Study Design, Statistics
