This two-day Bauhaus Visit took place on 28th and 29th Nov. 2019. A group of top-rated Chinese Architects, Interior designers and regional managers in the field of Architecture and design from China came to Bauhaus Universität Weimar for an academic exchange. During these two days, various inspiring events took place.
· A lecture series which was held by the dean of the architecture faculty Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dipl.-Des. Bernd Rudolf and the professorship of architecture management Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Nentwig, that allowed participants get an overview of the history of Bauhaus, German urban planning, architecture design and management.
· A city tour gave an insight to the participants of the history of the city Weimar as well as its relation to the Global Bauhaus.
· A visit to the Bauhaus wood workshop provided a chance for the participants to get to know the model making process as an architecture student in Bauhaus Universität Weimar.
· An Idea-Exchange Workshop offered a brain-storming platform for the interdisciplinary experts to discuss both the state-of-the-art academic and empirical topics in the field of urban development, architecture design, management as well as the intercultural cooperation in both German and Chinese cultural background.
At the end, the Bauhaus Visit ended with a gala dinner with a grant celebration of the whole journey. During the celebration, all the participants were invited to a special team-building activity with Body Percussion by Prof.Dr.-Ing. Bernd Nentwig.
