The main research areas include spatio-temporal 3D reconstruction, modern calibration and image orientation, dense stereo image matching, surface reconstruction using motion, shading, focus or silhouette, aerial image analysis for autonomously navigating flight systems as well as object recognition using knowledge-based image analysis.
