At the “IEEE International Conference on Image Processing” in Abu Dhabi Christian Benz presents the publication “MVCrackViT: Robust Multi-View Crack Detection for Point Cloud Segmentation using View Attention”, an end-to-end method for classifying 3D points based on image data.

Research Assistant

Your responsibilities are:

  • Collaboration in teaching computer vision, research in the research focus area “Digital Engineering,” and self-administration of the department
  • Teaching courses in German-language bachelor's and English-language master's programs
  • Constructive collaboration in an interdisciplinary team of media computer scientists and civil engineers
  • Supervision of student projects and theses
  • Assistance with research projects and third-party funding applications
  • Presentation and publication of research results
  • Collaboration in the self-administration and organization of various university events

The position is limited to 29.07.2026, as maternity leave coverage. An extended contract to cover subsequent parental leave is planned. It is a part-time job (75%). The weekly working time is 30 hours.
