With the upcoming publication of the CISOL dataset at WACV, we invite researchers and other interested participants to submit novel model ideas to the CISOL evaluation server on EvalAI. The Construction Industry Steel Ordering List (CISOL) dataset focuses on table structure recognition in real-world industry documents.

At the professorship »Computer Vision in Engineering« the following positions will be filled:

Research Assistant

Your responsibilities are:

  • Collaboration in teaching computer vision, research in the research focus area “Digital Engineering,” and self-administration of the department
  • Teaching courses in German-language bachelor's and English-language master's programs
  • Constructive collaboration in an interdisciplinary team of media computer scientists and civil engineers
  • Supervision of student projects and theses
  • Assistance with research projects and third-party funding applications
  • Presentation and publication of research results
  • Collaboration in the self-administration and organization of various university events

The position is limited to 29.07.2026, as maternity leave coverage. An extended contract to cover subsequent parental leave is planned. It is a part-time job (75%). The weekly working time is 30 hours.
