On the occasion of the 2024 Diversity Day (May 28th) the Diversity Department and the Equal Opportunity Office are showing the film »IO CAPITANO« (Wolof and French with German subtitles, PG 16) at Kommunales Kino im »mon ami«. Admission is free for members and affiliates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (show your Thoska at the entrance — free choice of seats while supplies last).

Am 8. Mai 2024 bestätigte der Senat die Fortschreibung des Zentralen Gleichstellungsplans 2021-2027. Der Zentrale Gleichstellungsplan der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar wird gemäß §4 des Thüringer Gleichstellungsgesetzes (ThürGleichG) erstellt und ist auf einen Zeitraum von sechs Jahren angelegt. Drei Jahre nach seiner Verabschiedung wird der Gleichstellungsplan anhand neuerer Statistiken nochmals überarbeitet und an aktuelle Entwicklungen angepasst.

Mit einem Gastvortrag der Bauingenieurin Prof. Agnes Weilandt sowie Grußworten von Prof. Peter Benz, Präsident der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar und weiteren Organisator*innen der Ausstellung wurde die Open-Air-Gallerie am Donnerstag, den 25. April 2024 feierlich in Weimar eingeweiht. Noch bis 14. Juli werden die Portraits berühmter Bauingenieurinnen auf der Freifläche neben dem Hauptgebäude ausgestellt.

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March) and the anniversary of the recognition of the Nazi genocide of the Sinti and Roma (17 March), we are holding an event on »antigypsysm«. Melody Steinbach, Educational Ambassador for Antigypsyism, will introduce us to the topic. Afterwards we will show Adrian Oeser's documentary film »THE LONG PATH OF THE SINTI AND ROMA« (German with English subtitles). All members of the university are welcome. Admission is free.

Der Deutsche Menschenrechts-Filmpreis wird seit 1998 anlässlich des Internationalen Tages der Menschenrechte verliehen. Im zweijährigen Rhythmus zeichnet er herausragende Film- und Fernsehproduktionen aus, die sich allen Menschenrechtsthemen annehmen. Zugleich würdigt der Preis das Engagement von Filmemacher*innen.

To mark FLINTA* Fight Day 2024, the Equal Opportunity Office and the Diversity Department will be showing the documentary film »Die Unbeugsamen« in the Audimax on Friday, 8 March 2024 at 8:00 PM. The film screening marks the start of the six-part film programme »Equity@Bauhaus – Movie Edition«, which deals with topics of equity, diversity and anti-discrimination. All members and affiliates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are cordially invited to attend. Admission is free.

Die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar hat sich mit ihrem Antrag zum Professorinnenprogramm 2030 des Bundes und der Länder in der ersten Ausschreibungsrunde erfolgreich durchgesetzt. Damit ist sie eine von 92 deutschen Hochschulen, die mit ihren gleichstellungspolitischen Zielen, Strukturen und Maßnahmen überzeugen konnten und ausgezeichnet wurden. Besonders erfreulich ist, dass die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar eine von 22 noch einmal zusätzlich ausgewählten Hochschulen ist, die das Prädikat »Gleichstellungsstarke Hochschule« erhalten haben. Damit nimmt die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar nun schon zum vierten Mal erfolgreich an dem Programm des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung zur Stärkung der Gleichstellung an Hochschulen teil.

The »Netzwerk Mutterschaft und Wissenschaft«, »SAFI Network« and »Women From Arts to Engineering« (WAE) are currently conducting a survey on the diverse experiences of disadvantages faced by parents and other unpaid care workers in the scientific community. The aim of the survey is to make these experiences visible and to compile a collection of information on experiences of discrimination with third-party funding programs. Participation takes 5-10 minutes.

Die Akademie Waldschlösschen bietet im Fortbildungen zu Antidiskriminierung, Gleichstellung, geschlechtlicher und sexueller Vielfalt an. Für den 19.–21.02. lädt die Akademie FLINTA (Frauen, Lesben, nicht-binäre, trans und agender Menschen) zum Fortbildungs- und Vernetzungsseminar »FLINTA in MINT« nach Reinhausen bei Göttingen ein.
