In cooperation with the University of Nottingham and the Technical University of Berlin, a new article on "Intelligent Computing in Architecture, Engineering and Construction" has been published in the journal "Advanced Engineering Informatics".

We are currently looking for a PhD position (research assistants) starting at 1st October 2018.

Bauhaus-Universität Weimar presents special topics of Structural Engineering to highlight the broad spectrum of civil engineering in the field of modeling and simulation. The expected outputs are to enable the participating students to deal with advanced methods in model validation and simulation.

Starting in the winter semester 2018/19, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering will have access to a new group workspace: Room 303, next to the Luna pools in the attic of Marienstraße 7A, has been converted into a »Student Design Studio«. It can accommodate a total of 30 students and is specially designed for group project work together.

Prof. Koch co-authored the most cited article "A review on computer vision based defect detection and condition assessment of concrete and asphalt civil infrastructure" in the international journal "Advanced Engineering Informatics".

Mr. Tarek Ahmed has successfully defended his MSc thesis on "Design and Implementation of Structural Dynamics Problems in a Serious Gaming Environment".

Chair has successfully presented research work at ICCCBE 2018 in Tampere (Finland) and at EG-ICE 2018 in Lausanne (Switzerland).

After installing several sensors and actors at the chair Intelligent Technical Design, the "Digital ITD Twin" teaching project is now starting.

The summer semester 2018 has started. We welcome all new students, in particular, with regard to our programme Digital Engineering.
