The rapid decline of populations of large game, such as elephants and rhinos, is mainly caused by illegal trophy hunting by humans. Lena Dille highlights this issue with her powerful poster campaign „Trophies of Ruthlessness“. The poster series features three-dimensional paper models of endangered species that stand out vividly, making the cruel activities of trophy hunters tangible. The paper sculptures function as infographics, depicting the total population of each species whilst highlighting the respective hunting quota through red markings. Viewers can quickly grasp the gravity of the situation and the need for action, e. g. by supporting PETA, an organisation that campaigns worldwide for laws against trophy hunting. Lena created this work as part of the course ‚Reading the World'.
