The interactive installation 'Hate Tweet' was developed by Timothy Goedeking, Louise Schöder and Robin Lindner for the 'Democracy Week' exhibition at the German National Theatre in Weimar in 2019. Consisting of a 3.5-metre-wide keyboard, the work enables users to send tweets by punching the keys with boxing gloves, with the tweets appearing live on a screen. This means that users cannot post comments from the protective anonymity of the internet, but must do so in full view of the public. Through this installation, the students aimed to highlight the “cowardly and brutal culture of communication that has become socially acceptable since the launch of Twitter (note: now X)”.

The project received an Honorable Mention at the 2020 ADC Talent Award.
