Burkhart von Scheven completed his undergraduate degree in Dortmund, subsequently completing a Master's degree at California State University, Long Beach. Prior to his appointment at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, he spent many years working as Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and a partner at Jung von Matt AG, as well as CCO at Saatchi & Saatchi Germany, among other roles. In 2012, he co-founded the Aufbruch-Scheven-Kroke agency. He has been a Professor of Image-Text-Conception at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar since 2013.
His work has won numerous bronze, silver and gold awards, including Nails from the ADC Germany, Cubes from the ADC New York, Pencils from the London ONE Show and Lions from Cannes. He encourages his students to achieve similar results, and in recent years they have also won many awards in all metal categories.

Masihne Rasuli completed a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Design in Dessau and the NCAD Dublin before going on to complete a Master’s degree in Visual Communication at the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar. Her work focuses on applied communication design and frequently addresses current social issues while exploring interdisciplinary possibilities. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Bauhaus Research School, writing a thesis on the typographer Arno Drescher's design work.
