In the second briefing for the „biG cHaOS” project, the students were asked to design a 'chaotic book' – a book that defies conventional design rules and challenges the reader in some way. The students were given a selection of poetic texts and were tasked with deliberately breaking down their formal rigour. Elsa Baptist, Leela Dutta and August Guccione chose the song lyrics 'Therefore I Am' by Billie Eilish.

Their book encodes the lyrics in various more or less cryptic ways, depending on their content. For example, part of the text is presented as a receipt, another part is in Braille, and another part is sorted by letter frequency. The team also presented their work in the form of a book trailer, edited to the rhythm of the original song.
