»We, the members of ›Arbeiterkind.de Weimar‹, founded this local chapter in 2020 because we want to raise awareness for the issue of unequal educational opportunities at our local universities as well. We want to help students transition from high school to university and support them in their day-to-day lives. At our open meetings, which take place on the second Wednesday of each month, as well as through workshops and public outreach, we want to answer questions and help with problems where they arise.
Through direct contact with Weimar’s universities, we would also like to bring attention to problems within these institutions and sensitize others to the issue of social and educational inequality in higher education.
We are always happy to see new faces at our meetings, and we are always open to concersations an inquiries!
