Stadtradeln 2021: VSP enters the race with its own team and star

From 22 May to 11 June 2021, Stadtradeln will take place in Weimar this year. The Chair of Transport System Planning is not only participating in the competition again this year with its own team, but is also sending Julius Uhlmann into the race as Stadtradeln Star.

Cycling is not only good for your health, it also protects the climate. About 140 g of CO2 is avoided for every kilometre travelled by bike instead of by car. Stadtradeln is a nationwide campaign of the Klimabündnis. The aim is to cycle as many kilometres as possible in everyday life for a better climate. Last but not least, it is also about the long-term improvement of the bicycle infrastructure.

Stadtradeln is primarily a team competition: the kilometres and thus the amount of CO2 avoided that were cycled during the campaign period are collected and compared in the group. In the Bauhaus.Mobility team, employees and students of the Chair of Transport System Planning cycle together.

In addition, Julius Uhlmann was named the Weimar Stadtradeln Star 2021. Not only is he a role model, but he also has the challenge of not seeing the inside of a car for 21 days in a row. Good luck, Julius!
