Due to the continuing high incidence of coronavirus infections and the Thuringian state regulations associated with warning level 3, the city of Weimar is issuing a new general decree.
According to this, those who have not been fully vaccinated or have not recovered from COVID-19 are required to show proof of a negative coronaviurs test result (PCR test, rapid antigen test or self-test on site) when using restaurants, when practicing sports (in clubs, swimming pools, gyms etc.) as well as for overnight tourist accommodation.
Public events in closed rooms that are accessible free of charge or for a fee are to be carried out according to the 2G or 3G Plus model. In the 2G model, only vaccinated and recovered persons may participate in the event. In the 3G-Plus model, this is extended to include persons who can show a negative result of a PCR test. For children under 18, a rapid antigen test or a self-test carried out on site is sufficient.
The general decree is initially valid until 24 November 2021.
