At the Language Centre you can learn German at all levels (A 1 - C 1).
1. Courses during the lecture period
Many courses take place during the lecture period. Usually there are two 90-minute sessions once a week.

2. Intensive courses in March and September
For ERASMUS/exchange students we offer three-week intensive courses in March and September. If places are available, fulltime students can also be admitted.

3. Preparatory German intensive courses for prospective students and to support the transition into the labour market. For applicants who would like to study in Weimar or at another German universiy, we offer preparatory intensive courses (prep courses) leading to the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH). These courses are also suitable for students interested in acquiring the German language skills that support the transition into the German labour market. --> click here for further information
As a partner of the DAAD-funded initiative "Bauhaus Career Navigator", we will be able to offer a limited number of partial fee waivers for these courses. Applications must be submitted via C<link https: veranstaltungen.uni-weimar.de de events>ongeno. The deadline is 2 August 2024. Please note that applications submitted via email will note be accepted.
