Course description

The Swedish programme at the Language Centre offers courses at various levels which meet the requirements put forth in the Common European Framework for Languages (GER)..

All the courses are structured as follows:

  • Course workload: 3 SWS (--> fee: € 30, ECTS CP: 3)
  • Two 90-minute lessons per week
  • Duration: 11 weeks

1. Swedish 1 (A 1.1)

Course no.: 5.20.1.100

This course is intended for students and university employees who wish to learn Swedish from the very beginning and have no prior knowledge of the language.

2. Swedish 2 (A 1.2)

Course no: 5.20.1.200

This course is targeted at students and university employees who are beginner learners of Swedish and have successfully completed Swedish 1 or have attained equivalent proficiency.

3. Swedish 3 (A 2.1)

Course no: 5.20.2.100

This course is offered to students and university employees who have successfully completed Swedish 2 or have attained equivalent proficiency. 

4. Swedish 4 (A 2.2)

Course no: 5.20.2.200

This course is offered to students and university employees who have successfully completed Swedish 3 or have attained equivalent proficiency.

2 steps to register for a course:

Students register for courses online. The registration period is indicated in the grey info box on the right. During this period, go to the course schedule table and click on the course in which you wish to enroll; this will take you to the registration form.

The registration process is completed with payment of the course fee. The dates during which you need to come to the language centre to pay the course fee are indicated in the grey info box on the right.

The course fees are based on credits points, i.e. € 10 per credit point. A course with two credit points, for example, would cost € 20 and one worth three credit points would cost € 30. The fee is reimbursed to you at the end of the semester if these credit points count toward your degree programme. University employees are charged 15 euros per credit point.

The course fees may only be paid by Thoska card.

Guest students
Guest students are charged € 20 per credit point, e.g. € 60 for a course worth 3 CP. Guests may only attend courses if there are free spaces available. Therefore, guests may only register between 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm on the second day of the payment period. The dates of the payment period are indicated in the grey info box on the right.
