The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board is a counseling, professional, non-partisan council.
The aim of the institution is to support the equal opportunity officer to achieve parity and equality of opportunities that are granted by the § 6 paragraph 4 and 8 ThürHG to the constitutionally guaranteed equal opportunities of women and men at the Bauhaus-University Weimar.
As followed, new approaches for a modern equality policy are to be identified and discussed, as well as to support the work of the equal opportunity officer. The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board therefore deals with current issues as well as with medium- and longer-term perspectives and projects of equality policy.

The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board is composed by each one deputy of the faculties and administration as well as two student deputies, mediating University Directorate and the student body.
