How does your research topic potentially change the world and why are you part of the poster competition?
Mein Forschungsprojekt ist motiviert von den Herausforderungen der Baubranche, welche für 38% des Abfalls und für 36% der CO2 Emissionen in der EU verantwortlich ist. Spezifisch geht es um die Verwendung von Holzabfällen (Kappstücke), die das Potential für ein nachhaltiges Baumaterial haben, derzeit jedoch einfach verbrannt werden. Die bauliche Nutzung dieser Holzelemente wurde in meinem Projekt durch eine Symbiose aus Architektur, Robotik und Informatik ermöglicht. Dadurch können in einem digitalen Planungs- und Fertigungsprozess ästhetisch ansprechende Strukturen effizient mit Holzabfall gebaut werden.
