Starting this week, the results of that discussion can be heard in a podcast series with a new episode released every week. Since the Presidential Board began their work in June 2023, they have initiated numerous projects and reimagined collaboration within the university as more transparent, more participatory, and more democratic. In each individual episode, the members of the Presidential Board share their perspectives on these projects and what plans lie ahead. Over six episodes, which will be released each Wednesday starting on 9 October, listeners can get to know the members of the Presidential Board through interviews that last just under one hour. These interviews are informal, optimistic, and self-aware. The interviewees speak about their opinions, values, and hopes; they also discuss their collaborative work with many other university members who are also involved in shaping the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. They talk about work processes and teamwork, as well as the conflicts and challenges they face in their work.

The Presidential Board hopes to provide listeners with tangible, constructive insights into their work through the podcast, thereby contributing to transparency and democracy at the university and in the community. The podcast series kicks off on 9 October with the episode »Meet the Presidential Board«, in which the members of the Presidential Board introduce themselves in English and respond to a short entertaining questionnaire.

The podcast is moderated by Franziska Fischer, graduate of the Architecture Master’s degree programme and member of the University Council, and Ludwig Lorenz, Master’s student in Computer Science for Digital Media and student council member.
