From 10 am to 6 pm, the Mensa am Park will be transformed into a vibrant Christmas Market. In addition to creative Christmas accessories made out of a broad range of materials. Some of which are recycled, the market will also be offering numerous gift ideas, such as design products and unique everyday pieces designed by Bauhaus-Universität Weimar students, staff and alumni.

Among the exhibitors is artistic staff member Florian Hesselbarth, who will be selling handmade postcards and prints. Student Weda Niersmann will be offering her handmade pottery, paper, and fabric goods, and student Jonathan Röckelein will be selling jewellery, Alumna Lena Vogel will be offering handmade wooden objects, and alumnus Vadim Makarucha will be selling »Architekturseife« (architectural soap).

Alongside the Market, the Alumni Office will be screening fairytale films from noon to 5 pm. Flexible childcare is available. From 10 am to 6 pm, wrapping paper will also be sold on the ground floor of the Mensa and the Alumni Office and the Alumni Office and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Freundeskreis will be available at their information stands. Food and drinks will be provided by the Mensa am Park team.

MINT Christmas and »LebkuchenBauhausWettbewerb« (gingerbread house competition)

Weimar’s Science Discovery Centre will also be offering various mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology craft and hands-on activities under the slogan »MINT Christmas« from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in Marienstraße 7b, room 001. From 1 to 5 pm, the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism’s Student

Council invites guests to their »LebkuchenBauhausWettbewerb« (gingerbread house competition) in the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s Main Building at Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 8.

The Bauhaus Christmas Market with the slogan »Buy Yourself a Piece of Bauhaus« is organised by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar University Communications department and the Bauhaus.Atelier team together with Studierendenwerk Thüringen. The event is organised as a mediator between studies and the work world. Students and alumni are given a platform to present their products and to make them accessible to the public.
