Dr. Henrici will devote the following weeks primarily to the open questions surrounding the university financing, especially the Framework Agreement IV (Rahmenvereinbarung IV), and the university budget for 2015. Additionally there are plans for construction in the Coudraystraße and for the grounds in front of the Main Building. It has been spontaneously planned that Dr. Henrici will make inaugural visits to all areas of the administration, the dean’s offices at the four faculties as well as to the Student Government (StuKo).
»I thank you for the confidence you have bestowed in me and I am very happy to be on board«, Dr. Henrici addressed the Senate. »To be a member of the Rectorate at such a distinguished and renowned university like the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and to have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of this university is a great honour and welcomed challenge.«
Dr. Henrici (45) studied political science in Munich, law in Bremen, Würzburg and Thessaloniki. He passed his first state exam in Würzburg. After completing his legal clerkship and the second state exam in Hamburg, he went on to obtain his Juris Doctor. In 2002 he worked as in-house counsel for the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, where he later became responsible for academic and student affairs and taught labour law until 2012. In 2005 he transferred to the Technical University of Berlin where he was initially responsible for admissions and enrolment. From 2009 to the end of 2014 he worked as the head of Student Services.
Dr. Henrici is the successor to the long-standing Registrar, Dr. Heiko Schultz. On 4 December 2014 Dr. Henrici was presented with his certificate of appointment at the Thuringian Ministry of Education and Science. He took office this Monday and was sworn in as Registrar of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar by President (Rector) Prof. Dr.-Ing. Karl Beucke. Immediately thereafter, Dr. Henrici got to work.
