"Der moderne Architekturdiskurs von Design (1957-1988) Aus postkolonialer Sicht" by Pappal Suneja
On the occasion of the celebration of the first anniversary year of the Bauhaus Exhibition (1923-2023), the research workshop - 'Bauhaus & Beyond' showcases the Discourse of Design (1957-1988) through a postcolonial lens - during the Bauhaus Summary, 13th to 16th July 2023 at Gaswerk e.V. Schwanseestrasse 92, 99423 Weimar.
The exhibition calls for a re-examination of ideas, thoughts, methods, and knowledge transfer by studying published examples of the built environment in India and Europe from the mid-20th Century. It aims to critically discuss the radical Indian journal, Design (1957-1988) and the change it brought to portray the new identity of democratic India and its evolving architecture and design disciplines.
