Culture Moves Europe

The project "Listening to the World - 100 Years of Radio" explores transnational radio histories and listening cultures in a cooperation between the Chair of Experimental Radio at the Bauhaus University Weimar, the Goethe-Institut, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the House of World Cultures.
What is the New European Bauhaus? It's still an idea, a vision - of a Europe that is climate-neutral, that brings people together and surrounds them with beautiful things. In this way, a better life becomes possible. We, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, would like to make a decisive contribution to this. The historic Bauhaus was founded here by Walter Gropius in 1919. We stand by its principles to this day: We work experimentally, look beyond the disciplines, are internationally positioned, cosmopolitan. With our partners in Europe and worldwide, we are looking for answers to the questions of the future. Together we want to build Bauhaus Commons, a Bauhaus of community creation - in which we learn with and from each other and encourage one another. We want to shape the change, the transformation of our society, in an aesthetic, participation-based and sustainable way. This is our mission.
