German During the Semester | Language Courses During the Lecture Period
- 12 weeks 1x per week (3 credit points)
- 90 minute classes + independent online learning element
- A1 to C1

3-Week Course | Compact Language Course in March or September
- 3 weeks, 60 hours (4 credit points)
- open for exchange students, full-time students, and employees of the Weimar universities
- A1 to B2/C1

Intensive German Courses
- preparatory courses for work or studies
- April to July or October to February
- A2, B1, B2, C1/DSH

DSH Exam Preparation
- preparatory course for the German Language Examination for University Entrance (DSH)
- preference will be given to students with conditional acceptance to the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar and the Universität Erfurt
- 2 week course in September
- Prerequisite: level B2/C1

As the only language centre in Thuringia with a permanent staff member for Swedish, we offer Swedish courses every semester. These are mostly at basic and lower intermediate level.

If we are unable to offer the language you are interested in learning, you can use the facilities of the Language Centres at the universities of Erfurt and Jena. Please note that registration times may differ from the ones in Weimar.
