Fight your existential (climate) crisis:
Transforming sustainability into action
How can we contribute to integrate sustainability and climate justice more strongly into studies and teaching? We will discuss which topics and challenges should be integrated into study programmes and how students can actively participate in designing their curricula. In order to shape a sustainable future, what needs to change in university teaching?

Teaching Award Ceremony
The ceremonial awarding of the Teaching Awards 2023 will take place on the Day of Teaching and Learning. The teaching awards honour outstanding courses taught in previous semesters at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
In addition to the four teaching awards of the faculties, one award for student teaching and one special award for sustainability in teaching will be granted. The teaching awards are based on nominations by the students and are organised by the Student Council.

Open meeting
MITMACH-DING: How do the university and the region work more closely together?
The MITMACH-DING invites you to an open meeting and gathers impulses. How can an exchange between university and region succeed? What new projects could emerge? What does it take to implement them step by step?
On 13 and 15 July, the MITMACH-DING will be on the road on campus, and ideas will be collected in the MITMACH-Börse to become active together in the winter semester!

Panel Discussion
Sustainability and climate justice as integral parts of the teaching and learning?
How can we enhance sustainability competences? How can we teach interdisciplinary future skills? How can the university contribute to achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)? These and other questions will be discussed together with professors, staff members and students.

Lernraum.Bauhaus
The project "Lernraum.Bauhaus" aims to explore the opportunities and challenges of hybrid teaching and learning, to identify the potential of collaborative learning and working in real and virtual learning spaces, and to find out how hybrid learning spaces can be designed and used at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in the future.
The Lernraum.Bauhaus team will give a short presentation of the project and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The "Hybrid Learning Studio" in Amalienstraße 13 can be visited during the summaery opening hours.
