Revitalisation of the room acoustics in the meeting room of the Chair of Building Physics
Following an intensive planning and preparation phase for the acoustic redesign of the meeting room of the Chair of Building Physics, the installation of the room acoustic elements was carried out by a specialist company. In addition to Dr. Dockanchi, students from the “Acoustic Building Design” course also participated in the room acoustic planning. Reverberation time measurements were carried out and various room acoustic concepts were developed. Not only the room acoustic effect of the elements was decisive, but also their aesthetic influence on the entire room.
The acoustic panels were installed on the walls and ceiling in such a way that all elements can be easily removed and reinstalled individually for room acoustic demonstration purposes. This allows students to test and experience the effect of sound absorbers by taking their own measurements.
