Prof. Dr.-Ing. Conrad Völker

Welcome at the Chair of Building Physics

The Chair of Building Physics is a bridge professorship, jointly affiliated with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism. The professorship's main research areas are energy-efficient building and neighborhood design, the investigation of new strategies for indoor climate control, and building and room acoustics. In our three associated research groups, these topics are studied using numerical simulations and measurements in our well-equipped laboratories, which feature various large-scale equipment. In both basic and applied research, we work closely with national and international partners from academia and industry.
