Funding for DBU research project

The Chair of Building Physics receives funding from the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) for a research project during the period from October 1, 2026 to April 1, 2028.

As part of the research project “Development of ML models for the efficient determination of thermal characteristics of façades as a planning basis for energy-efficient district development”, the Chair of Building Physics is investigating how in-situ measurement data can be better analyzed using machine learning models to determine the U-value and thermal storage capacity, and how measurement durations can be significantly reduced in the future.

The research project is funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) starting October 1, 2026, with a total of €154,811. The project duration is 18 months.
