The two IUDD graduates Agustín Azar and Egor Gaydukov, together with Uliana Zhomnir (M.Sc. Architecture graduate from Bauhaus University) and Nicolás Schusterman (architecture student at the University of Buenos Aires), have won the prestigious European competition Europan 18 with their design ‘Care Blanket’.

At the Institute Assembly on 2 December, the two new members Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Antonia Herten and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Herrmann welcomed by the ifex.plenum.

On 26 and 27 November 2025, a public workshop was held at the House of the Weimar Republic, where urban design proposals for the “Northern Weimar Station Area” could be tested and evaluated using virtual reality.

As part of the Open Day at Weimar Children’s University on 24 September 2025, Larissa Daube and Katharina Elert from the Professorship of Constructive Design and Structural Design gave a lecture on the topic of ‘Building with natural materials’.

Two projects from the MediaArchitecture Master’s programme have been selected for the ‘Beyond the Screens, City Digital Skin Art Festival’ at POSTCITY Linz, as part of the Ars Electronica Campus Exhibition running from 3 to 7 September 2025.
