Register Incidents of Infection Using the Registration Form: An Appeal to all University Members
We are currently experiencing an unprecedented number of cases of the coronavirus in Germany and especially in Thuringia. Not every chain of infection can be identified and thus not all contact persons can be warned. Tracing personal encounters (contact tracing) can help stop the spread of the virus.
In light of this critical situation, we strongly urge you to notify the university immediately if you have tested positive for the coronavirus by PCR test. This is the only way we have the chance to inform possible contact persons so that they can get tested themselves and protect their contacts.
Only by doing this can we detect and stop the spread of infection.
The university has set up an online form for registering cases of infection: www.uni-weimar.de/coronavirus/meldeformular
This form will help the university to notify possible contact persons within the university. The information is first sent to the responsible person or event organiser; this person then informs all other participants. This is all carried out anonymously, of course.
As soon as individuals are notified, they are asked to take a rapid test and reduce their personal contact with others as a precaution and to monitor their potential symptoms. Any personal information data is strictly protected - only a small number of authorised individuals within the university will have access.
Should you have any questions or if anything is unclear, please contact us via e-mail at gesundheit[at]uni-weimar.de.
Bauhaus-Universität Weimar employees should note that in the event of infection, you are required to notify your supervisor(s), the Human Resources Department (dezernat.personal[at]uni-weimar.de), and Dirk Schmidt at the Service Centre for Security Management (dirk.schmidt[at]uni-weimar.de).
We thank you for your cooperation and responsible behaviour with one another during the pandemic!
