LinkedIn Learning: New Educational Offer for University Members with Over 20,000 Courses
The speed at which technology is developing and the increasing complexity of academic culture clearly show that lifelong learning and continued professional development are essential when it comes to remaining professionally and technically connected and up to date. Online courses are becoming more and more relevant.
As part of this development, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is excited to offer its members a brand-new service, effective immediately: LinkedIn Learning. The platform offers over 20,000 courses and more than 2,600 are available in German. The full range of LinkedIn Learning courses are now available to university members.
The courses focus primarily on business, creativity and technology. LinkedIn Learning gives users the opportunity to complete entire courses or to watch individual videos. Participants can receive certificates for each course they complete.
»With LinkedIn Learning, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar students and staff can increase and develop their knowledge, learn new skills, or pursue specific training in other subjects. By introducing this service, we hope to support both students and staff in their professional and personal development«, says Dr. Simon Frisch, Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs, explaining the intention behind the new service.
Access and use are easy: Users can register directly on the LinkedIn Learning homepage https://de.linkedin.com/learning/.
University members need to register using their university e-mail address. Users will then be redirected to the university login through the Shibboleth service.
This is a service provided by the University Library. The technical support for Shibboleth is provided by the Service Centre for Computer Systems and Communication (SCC).
