Learn German with Themed Content from Weimar and Bauhaus-Universität
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has published a new workbook for learning German. The workbook combines language with interesting facts about the city, its history, and university life. It is aimed at intermediate learners and up who want to expand their German knowledge while also learning about Weimar and the University with its combination of artistic and academic degree programmes.
The workbook can be used in the classroom, for example at the Goethe-Institut, partner universities abroad, or in German as a foreign language classes in Germany. It contains a variety of exercises as well as original texts and illustrations.
The workbook was developed by the International Office and the Sprachenzentrum | Centre for Language and Cultural Learning at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The texts were written by Tom Wirkus and Simone Schwark, and the layout and illustrations were done by graphic designers Lena Haubner and Hannes Naumann. Printed copies will be available free of charge.
