On 21–22 July 2023, the conference »Non-Machines: Playground of Perspectives« will take place within the Faculty of Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Interested parties are able to register for this free event up until Friday, 7 July 2023. The conference aims to prompt a change of perspectives and to re-explore the relationships between machines and »non-machines«: »non-machines« include human and non-human actors or tools that are not yet integrated into a machine network. This can for example be a creature evolving freely in nature or a human who is not connected to digital networks.

Am Montag, 12. Juni 2023, begrüßen wir Johannes Breuer und Marlene Bart im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe »Trickster Science« zu einem Vortrag zum Thema »Turn and face the Strange«. Der Vortrag beschäftigt sich mit den vielfältigen Aspekten der digitalen Körperlichkeit und deren künstlerischer sowie gestalterischer Exploration. Interessierte sind sowohl in Präsenz als auch online im Stream herzlich willkommen! Der Vortrag findet in deutscher Sprache statt.

Am Freitag, 30. Juni 2023, 20 Uhr, sind Interessierte herzlich zum Antrittskonzert von Maximilian Marcoll, Professor für Elektroakustische Komposition und Klangkunst, in die KET-Halle in Weimar eingeladen. Auf dem Programm stehen zwei Werke, die nacheinander in verschiedenen Räumen aufgeführt werden.

Am Donnerstag, 15. Juni 2023, 19 Uhr, gibt Marie Vogelmann, Alumna des Studiengangs Produktdesign, Einblicke in ihre aktuellen Arbeitsfelder.

In ihrem Vortrag werden Ellena Ehrl und Tibor Bielicky (Architekt*innen, Herausgeber*innen, Zürich) einige ausgewählte Projekte vorstellen, die beispielhaft für die Arbeit ihres gemeinsamen Büros stehen und ihr breites Verständnis von Architektur widerspiegeln.

We are happy to welcome Alexander Schweder (School of Design, Pratt Institute NYC) for a lecture about »Performance Architecture« at the Faculty of Art and Design. The event on Tuesday, 6 June 2023, 6.30 p.m. can be attended in presence or online.

Literature, art and research shaped Goethe's house. Through the interventions of the international artists Danica Dakić, Arijit Bhattacharyya, Farzane Vaziritabar and Lea Maria Wittich, it will temporarily become a place of contemporary art again. Interested parties are cordially invited to the opening on Thursday, 1 June, 6.30 pm, in the foyer of the Goethe National Museum.
