Guest lecturers in the winter semester 2020 / 2021

Tobias Barth

Tobias Barth grew up in Halle, Germany, where he worked as an industrial climber, did an apprenticeship as a carpenter and volunteered in an orphanage in Jinja (Uganda). He studied media sciences, German language and literature and theater studies in Leipzig and Basel. Since 1998 author and director for various ARD-institutions, ranging from online articles to daily TV reports to the "Long Night" on Deutschlandfunk. Since 2001 he has been a freelance editor for "Künstlerisches Wort" at MDR KULTUR.  Producer of audio books and audio guides, curator and presenter of events, lecturer at universities. Awarded the German-Czech Journalism Prize and the Kurt Magnus Prize of the ARD, among others.

Eleftherios Krysalis

completed his bachelor’s degree in art history and theory at the Athens School of Fine Arts and his M.F.A in Media Arts and Design in Bauhaus-University, Weimar on the chairs of Experimental Radio and Studio of Electroacoustic Music. From 2018 until 2020 he was a DAAD scholarship holder. His focus is on experimental radio formats and electroacoustic musical elements and for his master thesis he conducted a research and work on the topic of Politics of Listening: Soundscapes from Ramallah, Palestine.

In the Wintersemster 2020 / 2021 he is one of our lecturer in charge for the courses Audiobaukasten 1 and on air.
