Student Project on Intercommunity Cooperation in Southern Thuringia Invites You to the Final Presentation
The student project »Transformation durch Kooperation? Suhl und Zella-Mehlis im neuen Oberzentrum Südthüringen« addresses intercommunity cooperation between Suhl and Zella-Mehlis, including looking at it as a new regional centre in southern Thuringia. The project aimed to understand how cooperation is currently evolving, the challenges that are arising, and the potential for development of the region. Urbanistik students from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar conducted interviews on topics like mobility, energy, identity, education, and civic engagement.
After the key results of the project have been presented, guests will have the opportunity to discuss the past, present, and future of intercommunity cooperation. This is intended to act as an extension of popular events in the meeting room at Topfmarkt 1 in November 2024, where students connected with the citizens of Suhl.
