Questions about studying engineering? Info hotline provides information
Until October 8, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering will be answering questions about studying and applying. From Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the "Studienstart Infohotline" can be reached at +49(0)3643/58 45 62 or by e-mail at studienstart@bauing.uni-weimar.de.
How important is math? How does the winter semester take place? And: When does the application deadline end? This year, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering are once again supporting the »newcomers« at the start of the semester. After all, who knows better than their future fellow students? In addition to digital orientation services such as online consultation hours or information events, the hotline is intended to serve as a point of contact for open questions about study content, the application process, and student life in Weimar.
This gives parents and prospective students a realistic impression of the professional and personal requirements of university education. »The goal is to reduce uncertainties and smoothly integrate the first-year students into everyday study life,« explains subject advisor Birgit Bode. A service offer, which was already strongly frequented in the past years and in times of the Corona pandemic is more important than ever.
The special feature: Students sit by the phone and pass on their personal experiences to the curious, providing an authentic insight into Weimar student life. Assistance and guidance is provided by the faculty's examination offices and subject advisors.
